Using the carrier
Can I use Wrap+ with my newborn?
Yes, from birth, with no extra inserts, cushions or attachments. The side adjustments let you tighten the wings to suit a very small baby. This is one of the reasons we built it — a carrier that needs a thick padded insert for the newborn stage is not much use in an Australian summer.
What is the maximum weight?
Wrap+ is rated to 16 kg, which takes most children well past their second birthday.
What size wearer does it fit?
The waist belt adjusts from 86 cm to 140 cm, which covers most body shapes from petite through to an XL male wearer. It is designed to be shared between partners without resetting strap lengths or repositioning the back support — you loosen the wings, hand it over, and the other person tightens to their own fit.
Can I really adjust it with my baby already in it?
Yes, and this is the feature most owners end up valuing most. The fabric wings run through double rings, so you draw them tighter or let them out while your baby stays exactly where they are. No untying, no undoing velcro, no taking your baby out to fix the fit.
Is there velcro?
No. Velcro is quick at first, but it collects lint, loses its grip over time and is loud enough to wake a sleeping baby. Wrap+ uses rings and buckle clips instead.
Care
How do I wash it?
Place the carrier in a washing bag to protect the fabric from pulling, and wash with like colours on a gentle cycle at a maximum of 40°C.
- Do not tumble dry
- Dry flat
- Do not soak
- Spot clean stubborn marks on the wings rather than washing repeatedly
What is it made from?
The fabric wings are perforated, moisture-wicking polyester. It is breathable rather than insulating, which keeps you and your baby cooler than the heavier fabrics used in many structured carriers.
Ordering
What is in the box?
Your Wrap+ carrier, a carry bag, and printed wearing instructions. Nothing you do not need.
How long will delivery take?
Orders are sent with Sendle and leave our Brisbane base within 2–3 business days. Delivery time after that depends on your location. See our Shipping & Returns page for costs.
What if babywearing in a Wrap+ is not for me?
You have 100 days to be 100% happy, and you get a full refund at any point in those 100 days.
- Within 30 days: full refund, and we pay the return postage.
- Days 31 to 100: full refund, and you pay the return postage (usually around $10 within Australia).
Returning later does not reduce your refund. You can also return a carrier you have genuinely used, provided it comes back clean — returned carriers are donated to families who need them. Full details on our Shipping & Returns page.
Why can't I buy it in a store?
Mała Olivia is run from a home base rather than an office or warehouse. Keeping everything in-house means no middle party taking a cut, which keeps the price lower than it would otherwise be. It also means the business runs around school pick-ups, and that you can shop at 10pm once the kids are asleep — which, let us be honest, is when most of us do.
Do you do baby expos or demonstration days?
Not at the moment. If you want to see how the carrier works before buying, the printed instructions are also demonstrated step by step on our product page, and you are welcome to email us with questions.
Safety and manufacturing
Where is it made?
Mała Olivia is Australian owned and operated. Our carriers are manufactured in China to strict specifications designed to meet Australian safety guidelines.
How do I know it is safe?
The design went through more than eighteen months of testing and adjustment before we were satisfied with it, and every carrier is checked before it is sent to you.
Whichever carrier you use, ours or anyone else's, follow the TICKS rules every time: Tight, In view at all times, Close enough to kiss, Keep chin off the chest, Supported back. More on this in our carrier guide.
